Messages & handouts

Two ways to reach a family between visits, both from the patient record.

Messages

Patient record → Messages tab — a private thread with this patient's caregiver. They read and reply in their patient app.

• One thread per connected app: a Heartful Sprout app section, and an Eating Recovery app section when that program is on.
• Composer: type and press Enter to send; attach photos, videos, or files with the paperclip.
• Unread counts show as a badge on the Messages tab and roll up to the Dashboard Unread Messages card.
• No app connected yet? The tab points you to Program Access — messaging needs a connected app. See The Program Access panel.

Handouts

Patient record → Care Plan → Handouts — coaching articles and guides for the family to read in their app.

1. Click Assign resources.
2. In the Assign from the Library dialog, search and hit Assign per item.
3. The family sees assigned items in their patient app; the card tracks what's been assigned.
