The connection code
A short alphanumeric code your patient enters in the patient app to link the app to your practice.
Where to find it
Patient record → Settings → Registration Info

When it's generated
- Automatically, when you choose With provider connection at invite time.
- Replaced (old code invalidated) when you re-issue the invite.
What happens after the patient enters it
- The app shows the HIPAA consent screen — see HIPAA consent.
- On consent, the patient's record on your end starts receiving logs from their app.
- The patient sees you listed under their connected providers and can soft-disconnect anytime.
