The connection code

A short alphanumeric code your patient enters in the patient app to link the app to your practice.

Patient record → Settings → Registration Info

When it's generated

  • Automatically, when you choose With provider connection at invite time.
  • Replaced (old code invalidated) when you re-issue the invite.

What happens after the patient enters it

  1. The app shows the HIPAA consent screen — see HIPAA consent.
  2. On consent, the patient's record on your end starts receiving logs from their app.
  3. The patient sees you listed under their connected providers and can soft-disconnect anytime.
